Pump, Fluid, Container This class is required Core Content for all EMT-B’s and Intermediates in Lake Plains CME Program (Free 3 CME hours additional for all others) It will be at the Genesee County Fire Training Center on April 4th from 1900-2200. Register Online Here or call Terry at 585-345-6110.  This 3 hour presentation will address Hypoperfusion, Patient Assessment, Environmental Emergencies and Cardiac Related topics.  There is also an IV skill station that must be completed by all providers qualified to perform this skill.


12 Lead EKG's What You REALLY Need to Know.  This class is being presented by Joshua Lynch, DO, EMT-P, Emergency Physician.  Tuesday, April 10, 2012 @1930.  The class will be held at the Genesee County Fire Training Center.  (CME will be provided for attendance). AMLS

Advanced Medical Life Support Class on April 16, 18, 23, 25 from 1745-2200 at Lake Plains Community Care Network’s Office at 56 Harvester Ave, 3rd floor in Batavia. Register Online here or call Terry at 585-345-6110.
AMLS offers a "think-outside-the-box" method of assessing and managing a patient in medical crisis.

This class is limited to Critical Care and Paramedics only.
This class is also limited to 12 students.

"Nobody's Home" This is a free class.  It is also part of the Core Content for Basic and Intermediate Providers in the Lake Plains CME Program.  (Additional CME for Paramedics)  This four (4) hour presentation deals with a common call, the patient with an altered mental status (AMS).  Causes of an AMS can be numerous so where should you begin?  Nobody's Home will address these types of patients.  It will give you a mnemonic to help you narrow down the possible causes and discuss the assessment and management of these patients. GOPe Gynecology, Obstetrics, & Pediatric Emergencies on Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at the Genesee County Fire Training Center from 1800-2200.  This is a free class.  This is a Mandatory CME requirement for all EMT-D and EMT-I providers in the CME recertification program.  This four (4) hour presentation address Gynecology, Obstetric, & Pediatric Emergencies.  Register Online Here or call Terry at 585-345-6110.  

PEPP - Pediactric Education for Prehospital Professionals
June 18th, 20th, 25th & 27th, 1745-2200 at Lake Plains Community Care Network.  You must be present for every class.  Paramedics in the CME resert at Lake Plains the class is free, all others must pay $135 if you wish to purchase the book.  $90 if you have your own book or want to borrow one of ours.  Payment is required prior to the beginning of the class.  Open to all levels of EMT's.  Class size is limited.  Registration is required.  This course is designed for both the BLS and ALS provider in mind and is presented through case-based lectures, live action videos, hands-on skill stations, and small group scenarios.  Register Online Here or call Terry at 585-345-6110.

"The Pen is Mightier"  This class will be on Monday, May 7, 2012 at the Frontier Volunteer Fire Company, Wheatfield Training Facility, 2179 River Road, Niagara Falls (Wheatfield) 14304.  The class will be from 1800 to 2200.  Please register Online Here or call Terry at Lake Plains 585-345-6110.  This is a 4 hour presentation that deals with medical/legal issues such as consent and refusals, as well as giving you a template to use when writing your patient care reports.   CANCELLED

 
"Breathless"  This class will be on Monday, May 14, 2012 at the Frontier Volunteer Fire Company, Wheatfield Training Facility, 2179 River Road, Niagara Falls (Wheatfield) 14304.  The class will be from 1900 to 2100.  Please register Online Here or call Terry at Lake Plains 585-345-6110.  This is a 2 hour presentation.  This is an interactive case-based presentation that discusses how asthma affects the body, as well as the assessment and treatment of the asthmatic.

 Kyle David Bates develops many of our courses. He has lectured Nationally and has made his courses available to us. Kyle David Bates is an enthusiastic educator who brings over two decades of field and flight experience into the classroom. He speaks at EMS conferences throughout the United States and Canada as well as a frequent personality on various EMS podcasts. Kyle is also an author, writing for textbooks and national magazines. What makes Kyle unique is his educational style. Having a formal background in photography and graphic arts as well as education, Kyle delivers interactive and thought provoking presentations and workshops to all audiences.

REGISTRATION

Early registration is encouraged to ensure space availability.

All preregistrations must be received no later than two weeks prior to the course date. Please contact us if it is less than two weeks prior to the start date. Tuition, if applicable, is due at time of registration and includes instructional materials, textbook, refreshments, and any applicable registration fees.

To register for classes please complete the registration form, or a copy of it or go on-line. Directions are included on the form as to where to mail it. You may also call the LPCCN office at 585/345.6110 to pre-register, however your spot will not be held until payment is received. Payments by check or purchase/money order should be made out to “Lake Plains Community Care Network” or you may pay cash at the office. For services paying for their member’s tuition, an authorized official from the service must complete the “Permission to Bill” form to register the student and the service will be billed.

REQUESTS FOR REFUNDS
Requests for refunds must be submitted in writing. A 20% processing fee will apply to cancellations made at least two weeks prior to the course date. Cancellations made less than two week prior to the date will incur a 40% processing fee. No refunds will be supplied for cancellations less than 72 hours in advance. A student may request to change course dates once without penalty. If they do not attend that course, all tuition may be forfeited.


COURSE CANCELATIONS
LPCCN reserves the right to cancel any course due to insufficient enrollment. Tuition may be refunded or transferred to another course date at no additional cost.
